Q.  What is the difference between "real chocolate" and "confection"?

A.  "Real" chocolate contains cocoa butter, and takes great care to temper properly. "Confection" instead uses vegetable oil to give good mouth feel and to handle temperature variations more easily.  This is sometimes referred to as summer coating or almond bark.

Q.  Can I order something that isn't listed on the website?

A.  Yes!  I constantly do custom orders.  That's our specialty!  I continuously buy new molds and adjust recipes per our customer requests.  

Q.  Do you make anything other than candy?

A.  Yes!  I am  proud to announce that I also now decorate cakes for your special occasions.  I am a graduate of the Wilton School of Decorating, and I am working on building my portfolio.  Check back soon to see pictures of the wedding cakes I'm doing this fall.  I can also refer you to others who make some outstanding sweets, such as cheesecakes, ice cream and tarts.  Just give me a call at 630-779-1617 for information.

Q.  I'm getting married soon.  Do you have anyone you partner with that you would refer for bridal services?

Q.  Do you do corporate gifts?

A.  Of course!  Call me with your needs and I will make you look great.  I work with many companies, including realtors, libraries, hotels and more to make them stand out from the crowd.  I can supply you with great give-aways for your next trade show, or lovely gift baskets for the holidays.  You can even sign up for a "Confection of the Month" tray subscription for your favorite clients.

Q.  Do you give talks/classes?

A.  I'm happy to come speak to your women's club, chamber, church group, library or any other gathering to share my passion for chocolate.  References are available upon request.  I am also in the process of creating a class.

Q.  Do you do home parties?

A.  I'm currently working on creating the perfect format.  If you'd like to be the first one to test it, call me! 

Q.  Do you do fundraisers?

A.  Yes!  I have worked with many organizations, including individuals, schools, churches and pet sanctuaries to help them raise the funds they need.   You know how good the product is.  It practically sells itself!  Call for more details.

Q.  You use a lot of ribbons.  Do you really cut them all?

A.  No!  I'm very happy to say that I no longer do that portion of the business.  I would like to thank my friends in the vocational department at Clare Woods Academy (Bartlett Learning Center) for their fine handiwork.  Clare Woods Academy provides education and life skills training opportunities for children with disabilities.
